Hollywood Swing Seat
Requires 2 person assembly.
Tools required:- Hammer, Corded/ Cordless Drill, Tape Measure, Pozidrive
Bit/Screwdriver, 3mm Drill Bit, Pencil.

1) Lay out 2no posts (5) (with counter-bore facing down) and position upper
and lower crossboards (3 & 4) see fig1. Align all holes and insert 8no
M8x100mm bolts (B). NB Ensure that offset hole in upper cross board (3) is
biased towards right hand post.
2) Carefully turn over the `A` frame and fit washers and nuts to all bolts with
supplied socket spanner. NB Do not tighten at this stage.
Repeat stages 1 & 2 for second `A` frame assembly.
3) Insert 2no M10 swing holders (F) through holes in swing beam (2) so that
threaded section emerges in counterbore, as shown in fig. 1. Fit washers and
cap-nuts to both bolts, align swing holders with swing beam and fully tighten
cap-nuts.
4) Align top holes on `A` frames with outermost holes on swing beam (2) and
insert 2no M8x100mm bolts (B) through `A` frames and swing beam.
5) Attach bracings (6) to swing beam (2) using 4no M8x90mm bolts (C) and to
upper crossboards (3) using 2no M8x80mm bolts (D), washers, nuts and cap-
nuts. See fig 1.
6) Pre-drill protection board (1) as illustrated in fig. 1, and fix to swing beam
(2) using 4no 4x50mm screws (A).
7) Carefully lift assembly into upright position and ensure
all nuts / washers
are in place and are fully tightened.
The Base assembly is now complete.
