SETTING THE TIME
Important: to avoid damaging the movement,
do not set the time when the chime mechanism
is engaged.
MINUTE REPEATER MECHANISM
A minute repeater chimes to indicate the number
of hours, the number of quarter-hours since the
last hour and the number of minutes since the last
quarter-hour.
Three different chimes are used to indicate the
hours, quarter-hours and minutes. The hours are
indicated by a low chime, the quarter-hours by a
low/high chime and the minutes by a high chime.
Example 1 - 10:10 am:
1 - Hours: 10 low chimes
2 - No quarter-hour
3 - Minutes: 10 high chimes
Example 2 - 3:37 pm:
1 - Hours: 3 low chimes
2 - Quarter-hours: 2 low/high chimes
3 - Minutes: 7 high chimes
