3. Plug the red text lead to the anode of the diode and the black test lead to the cathode of the diode.
4. The LCD screen will display the value of the direct polarization of the diode. If the test leads are
inversely plugged, the screen will display «1».
6. Maintenance
Warning
- Before replacing the battery or the fuses, and before cleaning the device, unplug
the test leads to avoid any electrical shock hazard.
6.1. Battery replacement
If the symbole

appears on the screen during the operating of the multimeter, replace the
battery for the device to continue working properly.
Proceed as following to replace the battery:
1. Shutdown the device.
2. Remove the shockproof case.
3. Unscrew the 2 screws with a screwdriver, open the multimeter and remove the battery.
4. Replace it with a battery of identical model, respect the polarity while replacing the battery, and
close the multimeter.
5. Put the shockproof case back in place.
6.2. Fuses replacement
Proceed as following to replace the fuses:
1. Shutdown the device.
2. Remove the shockproof case.
3. Unscrew the 2 screws with a screwdriver, open the multimeter.
4. Remove the fuses and replace them using fuses with the same electrical specifications -
F0.5A/500V fast action / F 10A/500V fast action.
5. Close the mutlimeter.
6. Put the shockproof case back in place
6.3. Cleansing
With a soft cloth clean the surface of the meter without using corrosive organic solvents to clean the
case.
