2. Important general information
2.1 Fitform
Fitform is a Dutch brand which specializes in the design of functional, ergonomic technology
for correct sitting. Fitform produces comfortable, fully customised armchairs which
incorporate many adjustability features and options & accessories. All seating solutions
meet the latest scientific insights with respect to ergonomics.

2.2 General instructions and warnings
Your Fitform ZEN Care Chair has been thoroughly checked by Wellco and is delivered ready
to use. Your supplier will be present when you start using the armchair. Your supplier
has been trained to check the armchair again and will, if necessary, contact Wellco
International BV directly.
Positioning of the Fitform ZEN Care Chair
• Each chair should be positioned so that all adjustments can be used without any
obstructions, to prevent the armchair malfunctioning.
• Ensure that the armchair’s power cable is positioned so that it does not present a tripping
hazard or a risk of strangulation.
• To prevent the armchair from tipping during use, the armchair must be positioned on a fixed
horizontal surface (i.e. not on a sloping or unstable surface (such as sand)).
• It must be possible at all times to disconnect the armchair from the mains power. Ensure that
the plug can easily be pulled out of the power socket and that there are no obstacles in the way
to impede this. The armchair can also be disconnected from the mains by disconnecting the
transformer.
• The armchair should only be used indoors, since it is unable to withstand the effects of weather.

We strongly advise you to read this part carefully as it concerns issues
regarding safety and hazards. Please, always follow instructions as written in
this manual.
Mechanism
WARNING:
This armchair is fitted with powerful motors. Given the
presence of moving parts, areas in which bodily parts can get trapped,
and the lack of a main power switch, it is recommended the chair to be installed
in places where children and pets are unlikely to be present, or that the chair is always in
the supervision of an adult when children or pets are in the vicinity of the chair (even when
not in use). The trapping of bodily parts in the mechanism will in all likelihood lead to
personal injury. In those parts of the mechanism where there is a risk of bodily parts being
trapped, yellow warning signs, as depicted above, have been attached.
Mains cable
To ensure optimal operation of your armchair, we recommend connecting
the mains cable directly to the mains (insert the plug directly into the socket).
If it is nevertheless necessary to use an extension cord, then preferably do not
connect any other equipment to that extension cord and do not use an extension cord
with an on/off switch. If you suspect that the mains cable is damaged and/or must be
replaced, you should contact Wellco. The mains cable should only be replaced by a qualified
service technician.
Electronics
WARNING:
The armchair will be set in motion the moment at which a button on
the hand control is pressed. This can also occur unintentionally, resulting in an
unexpected movement.
General delivery instructions for the dealer
1. Always carefully follow the instructions that are affixed with stickers to the
plastic cover.
2. Remove the packaging materials in and around the armchair. To remove the plastic cover
around the legrest, it is recommended to first connect the chair by inserting the plug into
the socket and then release the legrest using the hand control.
3. Check if there are any options/accessories available on this chair; you possibly will need
to unlock the safety lock of the transportation-security. You will find instructions for this
later in this booklet.
4. Check the operation of the chair.
5. Make your customer aware that there are important directions for use in this booklet. This
information will allow the customer to check all possibilities at their own convenience. It
also contains recommendations for best maintenance of the chair.
6. Make your customer aware of the adjustable lumbar support in the chair and how it can be
adjusted in thickness and height (see later in this manual).
7. Make your customer aware of the adjustable headrest in the chair and how it can be
adjusted (see later in this manual).
After these steps your customer may start enjoying the seating comfort of their own
Fitform ZEN Care Chair!
