Preparing for operation
CHARGING THE BATTERY
To charge the battery, use the charging adaptor supplied with the product.
– When the battery percentage status drops below 20, the battery status
icon and the power indicator light start blinking.
– When the battery is nearly empty, the display turns red.
Activation of the battery
Before first use or after a long period of non-use, charge the battery for about 12 hours
(until fully charged). After the initial charging, 90 minutes charging time is enough to charge
the battery full.
The battery needs recharging when the percentage status drops below the
20 mark and the display changes colour to red.
Battery memory effect
To prevent the memory effect, recharge the battery only when it is fully discharged.
What is the memory effect?
When repeatedly charged before it is completely discharged, the Ni-MH battery used in the
appliance gradually loses its maximum energy capacity.
What should I to do if the memory effect occurs?
If the operation time of the appliance is shorter than it used to be despite fully charged
battery, allow the battery to discharge completely and recharge it for about 12 hours.
Repeat this step 2-3 times to recalibrate your battery to its maximum available life. If the
memory effect continues, the battery may need to be replaced. Please contact your dealer
for further information.
RECHARGING THROUGH THE CHARGING PORT ON
THE APPLIANCE
1
Make sure the appliance is OFF.
2
Insert the adaptor connector into the charging port.
To prevent damage to the appliance, make sure the charging port is dry
before inserting the adaptor connector.
