Halogen lamp housing 

7.1

 

Opening the illumination unit 

Opening: 

1)

 

Remove the lamp slide-in module. 

2)

 

Disconnect the light guide. 

3)

 

Remove the camera control unit, if necessary. 

4)

 

Remove four Phillips screws (

1

) and two hex 

socket head screws (

2

). 

5)

 

Remove the halves of the housing: press the 

power switch slightly inward and make sure you 

do not damage or lose the release button for 

the lamp module when removing the other half 

of the housing. 

Mounting:  

1)

 

Insert the release button for the lamp module in 

the housing and re-attach the halves of the 

housing, making sure that the release button is 

correctly positioned.

Align the halves of the housing with each other and screw them together using screws (

1 + 2

). 

3)

 

Insert the lamp module and check that it is smoothly ejected. If necessary, loosen the halves of the 

housing and re-align them. 

4)

 

If provided, re-install the camera control unit. 

5)

 

Connect the light guide. 

 

7.2

 

Checking and adjusting the maximum lamp voltage 

1)

 

Turn the brightness potentiometer on the 

suspension arm ccw as far as it will go. 

2)

 

Move the suspension arm downward until the 

inclination switch is activated. 

3)

 

Set the measuring range of the 

True-RMS 

voltmeter

 to 20 or 25V AC. 

4)

 

Connect the voltmeter to X17 and X18 

terminals (

3 + 4

). 

5)

 

Switch on the power switch. 

6)

 

Turn the brightness potentiometer slowly cw as 

far as it will go. The maximum lamp voltage 

must be 12.4 +0V / –0.3V under load with the 

halogen lamp. 

7)

 

If the voltage deviates from this value, use R 13 

potentiometer (

5

) to adjust the voltage  

to 12.4 –0.1V.

Caution 
Do not exceed 12.5 V during the adjusting procedure. 

 

8)

 

Re-install the dummy cover or camera control unit (

4 Fig. 26

). 

9)

 

If provided, connect video cable and secure plug with locking screws.
