Instructions for the ZEISS Server
function
Note the installation conditions described in chapters 2 and 3.
If you wish to install the ZEISS Server vertically, ensure that the footprint is
covered with the enclosed rubber pads (Figure 2/1).
It is important that the server footprint is always the right-side surface (the
side surface which lies on the side of the drive's changeable frame).
Ensure that the side surface is free of dust and grease before at-
taching the rubber pads.

Proceed as follows when starting up the ZEISS Server:
1.
Using the patch cable RJ45 S/FTP Cat5e, connect the server with
your local area network in which the server will be operated (Figure
3/1).
2.
Connect the secondary circuit cable for the external power supply to
the ZEISS Server (Figure 3/2). Ensure that the connection is secure.
3.
Connect the primary circuit cable to the power socket.
4.
Start the server by pressing once on the "power" button (Figure 4/1).
5.
Wait until the power symbol on the button glows blue or blue-cyan.
The server is now ready for use.
