Gate opening
•
AC or DC voltage of 8-12V is needed in order to open a lock. Battery power will only operate
the intercom function but not the door opening. The door station has been designed to open
an electric door lock (strike lock) as a 4 second pulse of low voltage AC power is sent to the lock.
A relay board (available from the supplier) is needed to trigger a gate motor.
•
Opening or closing of the gate can occur at any time. If a call is in progress press the lock button
11 (round) on the handset and the door opening icon will appear on the screen after 3 second.
To open/ close the gate at any time keep the lock button pushed until the door opening icon
appears.
•
Always insert AA batteries into the caller unit before connecting AC/DC power. The LED should
illuminate as soon as batteries are inserted and then switch off immediately afterwards. If the
light remains on, check that the dip switch 7 is not set to PAIRING.
Connection pins at the back of Caller unit
AC/DC Supply (pins 1 & 2)
Under no circumstances should AC mains Voltage be directly connected to the terminal.
