1. MOUNTING

Detectors should be mounted both near places particularly exposed to the presence of carbon monoxide produced due
to the combustion of fuels such as: gas, wood, coal and in rooms where gas escape is possible to occur, it means in
places with stoves, gas stoves, gas valves etc.
•  In order to avoid false alarms, it is required to keep at least 2 meter distance from possible carbon monoxide and gas
  sources.
•  Sensors should be mounted at a height of 150 cm from the ground (Fig. 6) to monitor properly the carbon monoxide
  presence in a room
•  In order to monitor the presence of natural gas in a room which is lighter than air, the sensor should be mounted in a
distance of 0,3 to 1 meter from the ceiling
•  In order to monitor the presence of LPG in a room which is heavier than air, the sensor should be mounted in a distance
of 0,3 to 1 meter from the floor.
•  The above mentioned detectors should not be installed both in the so called blind spaces (e.g. a niche covered by
furniture or curtains or in the gable of the roof, etc.) and in places where their operation will be affected by the direct
supply of fresh air (e.g. near doors, windows, ventilation grilles, fans). Additionally, do not mount the devices in areas
exposed to dust, dirt, aerosols and household chemicals that can permanently damage the detector.

In order to mount the device, it is required to:

•  remove the back handle to hang the device (Fig. 7)
•  open the back-up battery cover to the left and insert the 9V battery (6F22 type) and close the cover
•  screw the handle to the wall by means of attached screws and mount the device on it
•  switch on the mains.
The device battery back-up system has only an emergency power supply function, it is activated in case of power supply
failure. Longer device operation based on battery back-up is not recommended as it can discharge the battery quickly.
The mains power supply (230 V AC) connection should be constant. In case battery exchange is required, the device
activates short alarm sound signals every 10 seconds (sound + LED red “ALARM” optical signalling).
