APPENDIX A:  Troubleshooting 

 

 

Problem:  

Main menu does not come up

 

 

-Is the HDMI cable plugged in to the application board solidly? 
-Try using a different computer mouse. 

 

 

Problem: 

 Do not see video in VLC (RTP) 

 

-Are you using the correct SDP file (z3-netra-multicast.sdp)? 

 

-Is the PC fast enough for 720p decode on VLC? 

 

-Does the PC have enough DDR to handle 7200p decode on VLC? 

 

-Is VLC version 1.1x or later? 

 

 

Problem:

  

NFS does not work

 

 

-Is the link to targetNFS properly set up? 
-Does the IP address in the line added in /etc/exports match the IP address set in nfsserver in u

-

boot? 

-Does the value of nfs_root in u-boot point to z3-am57xx/targetNFS? 
-Did you start the NFS server?
