Fault codes noted, but system allowed to run:
31 - Throttle stepper failure
32 - Cam sensor failure
33 - Enrichment sol. failure
34 - Ignition coil failure
38 - Engine crank prevent
41 - Indoor sensor failure
42 - Supply air temperature over 130
°
F
43 - Supply air temperature over 170
°
F
52 - Outdoor temp sensor failure
56 - S. A. interface fault
62 - NVM access failure
Operation Below -5
°
F\ -10
°
F (Electric Heat Only)
If the engine is running and the outdoor temperature drops
below -10
°
F, the engine will shutdown. Once shutdown, it is not
allowed to run until the temp is above -5
°
F.
The electric heater or add-on hot water hydronic coil will be
energized and will cycle, based on first stage heat require-
ments.
The indoor blower will run at full speed.
Emergency Heat
When the switch on the thermostat is moved to EM HT, the
engine will shutdown and the electric heater, add-on hot water
hydronic coil or furnace will provide necessary heat, respond-
ing to first stage requirements. The indoor blower will run at full
speed.
USER’S INSTRUCTION
Assist owner with processing warranty cards. Review User’s
Information Manual and provide a copy for the owner on
guidance on proper operation. Instruct the owner how to start,
stop and adjust the temperature setting.
Also, review annual maintenance requirements, defrost operation,
exhaust gases at the outdoor unit, and the variable motor speed
which may be noticed at the indoor unit and outdoor unit engine.
When the system is functioning properly and the owner has
been fully instructed, secure the owner’s approval.
INDOOR AIR FILTER
Indoor filters are recommended to keep the duct system clean
and to collect dust, lint and other debris from entering the air
handling/coil sections.
Filters are recommended to be replenished (replace throw-
aways) every three months. If electronic air filters are installed,
they should be cleaned on a regular basis to keep their effi-
ciency at peak levels.
ENGINE
The engine system requires maintenance on a regular interval.
A service maintenance kit is available and should be used when
performing engine maintenance. It includes:
•
Engine oil (11 liters - prepackaged for use)
•
Engine oil filter
•
Engine air filter
•
Engine spark plug
•
Engine spark plug wire
A regular operating interval of 12 months is the maximum time
interval for maintenance of engine to maintain engine warranty.
At the time of engine maintenance, the following is also recom-
mended:
Outdoor Unit
•
Cleaning of inlet engine air screen, outlet auxiliary heat
screen, lower openings in access panel and louver openings
in access panel
•
Washing of outdoor coil, if necessary
•
Checking and replenishing coolant level in overflow tank
Indoor Unit
•
Cleaning of system air filter
•
Clean refrigerant coil
•
Clean indoor blower housing and wheel.
WARNING: Engine maintenance can only be done by
trained YORK Triathlon dealers. Homeowners and oth-
ers not trained will void the warranty by doing this work
themselves.
