IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including
the following:
1. Read all instructions before use and keep for future reference.
2. Check the device for damage before each use. If the device is torn and/or pierced, do not use it.
3. Make sure that your outlet voltage corresponds to the voltage stated on the rating label.
4. When using an extension cord, ensure you do not exceed its maximum rated running wattage / load.
5. To protect against fire, electrical shock and injury do not immerse cord, plug or unit in water or other
liquids.
6. This appliance can be used by children over 8 years old and persons with reduced physical, sensory
or mental capabilities or those, who lack experience and knowledge if they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards
involved. It is imperative that children do not play with this device. Cleaning and maintenance should
not be done by children without proper supervision.
7. This appliance can be used by children over 3 years old, if it has been set up by a guardian,
and the child has been given exact instructions on how to act in an emergency.
8. This appliance cannot be used by the disabled, people oversensitive to heat, or those who suffer from
the inability to sense heat, unless they are supervised by another person.
9. This appliance cannot be used by people with skin damage and users of painkillers or alcohol.
10. Pacemaker users should consult with their physician or the manufacturer of their pacemaker before
using the blanket. The electromagnetic radiation emitted by the blanket
may affect the pacemaker’s
operation in some cases.
11. Exercise caution especially when the device is used near or by children.
12. Keep the device and its power cord away from children under 3 years old.
13. Do not use the device as a bed for animals.
14. Keep the device away from sources of humidity, heat or direct sunlight.
15. Do not allow the power cord to touch hot surfaces.
16. Keep the device away from sources of flame and heat such as cookers, heaters, fan heaters etc.
17. Do not use the device if its power cord or plug is damaged, or in case of any other malfunction.
18. If the power cord is damaged, it must be repaired by manufacturer service or a qualified technician
to avoid harm.
19. Turn the device off before unplugging. Always unplug the device after finishing work.
20. Unplug the device before carrying and cleaning.
21. Do not hold the blanket by the power plug or the controller.
22. Do not hold the power plug with wet hands, as it might cause electrical shock.
23. Do not use the device near sources of water or other liquids.
24. Do not use a bedwarmer while using the blanket.
25. Before covering yourself with the blanket, make sure your skin and clothes are completely dry.
26. Before turning the blanket on, make sure it is completely dry.
27. If the blanket was soaked during operation, do not touch it. Unplug it first.
28. When unplugging, hold by the plug, not the cord.
29. Do not use the device with wet hands or barefoot.
30. If, during operation of the device, an unusual sound or smell appears, turn it off immediately and unplug
it.
31. If the device suddenly ceases operation, unplug it immediately. Allow it to cool down for 60 minutes,
plug it back in and turn it on again.
32. If the automatic overheating protection system shuts off the device frequently, contact manufacturer
service.
33. Do not attempt to repair, disassemble or modify the appliance. There are no user-serviceable parts
inside.
