Design WA202 Stereo Receiver
Discovering your WA202: Rear view
1
POWER INLET Connect the supplied mains cable. Be sure that your receiver is off before plugging or
unplugging the cable.
CAUTION
Before making any connections make sure that your WA202 is switched off. If you are in doubt, unplug the
mains cable.
When making connections always be sure all components are off.
Neatly arrange and organize wiring from your WA202 to other components. Always separate AC cables from
audio cables to prevent hum or other unwanted noise being introduced into the system.
2
RIGHT & LEFT SPEAKER OUTPUT Connect the right speaker to the terminal marked R and the left speaker
to the terminal marked L. Take care to connect speakers in phase - + must be connected to + and - to -. We
recommend the use of banana plugs to prevent any short circuits. The WA202 was designed to be used
with either 8 or 4 Ohm speakers - however speakers less than 4 Ohms should not be used.
3
FM & AM AERIAL CONNECTIONS To enjoy good reception, connect both an AM and FM (75 Ohm) aerial
4
RCA AUDIO INPUTS Connect the RCA outputs of your source products to the RCA inputs of your WA202.
Connect the R output to the R input and the L output to the L input. You can connect up to 4 line level
input sources. If you wish to connect a turntable you may need to use a phono MM or MC (depending on
your cartridge) preamp, which would then connect to the WA202.
The AUX input has a bypass feature which is engaged from the remote handset. By pressing < > OK in
sequence bypass is engaged. To restore the normal AUX status, press < > OK in sequence once again.
5
PRE OUT This allows the connection of a separate power amplifier, powered speakers or a subwoofer.
6
This port is ONLY used for charging your iPod/iPhone with the cable that came with the device.

IR IN / IR OUT You can connect an IR Receiver if your WA202 is in a cupboard or enclosed rack where
the IR sensor is not visible. Using the IR IN / IR OUT option provides control from another room when
used in a custom installation.
