Downloading XtraDrive-DP

Programs

You can download programs to an XtraDrive-DP in one of two ways:

✦

From a PC via the serial port to the XtraDrive-DP, by using the
XtraWare software. This is the recommended method.

✦

Via the PROFIBUS network during data exchange, by
downloading a program line by line. In the command, the
mode field is set to program download (mode 4) and the ID
field is set to the program’s line number to be downloaded.

NOTE:

In order to download programs to the XtraDrive-DP during data
exchange, you must first chose the Command module during
configuration.
