2.5 User Responsibility
The feedback module is designed for use in an industrial zone or industrial area. The
user of the feedback module is thus subject to the legal work safety obligations.
In addition to the work safety instructions in this operating manual, the safety, accident
prevention and environmental protection regulations applicable to the area of application
of this feedback module must also be complied with. In doing so, the following applies in
particular:

The user must inform himself of the applicable work safety regulations.
n
This operating manual must be kept in the immediate vicinity of the feedback module
and be accessible to persons working on and with the feedback module at all times.
n
The statements of the operating manual are to be followed completely and absolutely!
n
The feedback module may only be operated in technically faultless condition and
must be safe for operation.
2.6 Protective Category
When installed in the SERVOPACK, the feedback module complies with the protective
category of the SERVOPACK used.
2.7 Personnel Training
WARNING!
Risk of injury if operated by insufficiently qualified persons!
Improper handling can lead to severe personal injury and property
damage.
Therefore, only have certain activities carried out by persons specified in
the respective chapters of this operating manual.
The following qualifications for various areas of operation are specified in the operating
manual:

Operating personnel
The drive system may only be operated by persons who have been trained, instructed
and authorized to do so.
Troubleshooting, cleaning, maintenance and exchange may only be conducted by
trained or instructed personnel. These persons must be familiar with the operating
manual and act according to it.
Commissioning and instruction may only be conducted by qualified personnel.

Qualified personnel
Qualified professionals in electrical drive technology and motion applications of the
customer or a third party who are authorized by Yaskawa and trained in the installa-
tion and commissioning of Yaskawa drive systems and commissioning, grounding
and designating electrical systems.
Qualified personnel is educated or trained in the maintenance and use of suitable
equipment in accordance with the respective local engineering standards.
2.8 Personnel Protective Equipment
Wearing the appropriate personal protective equipment when working is required in order
to minimize hazards to the health.
