Get a slotted screwdriver. Insert the tip
of the screwdriver into the slot of the
battery cover. With a little twist, pry the
battery cover open.

Pull gently on the battery connector and take the
old battery out.

Put the battery cover back.
Make sure the bump on the
battery cover is close to the
bottom of the radio.
3.
Get the new battery and
insert the battery connector as
orientation indicated

ABOUT SETTINGS
Yapalong-5000 CE radio has 3 Settings (shown below). These Settings
are indicated by the Setting LED’s on the right column of the keypad.
A temporary license may be required for Setting 2 or Setting 3
depending on the region of use.
Setting 2 have a slightly better range than Setting 3 under the same
environment.
CHANGE SETTING
1. Power on the radio. Ensure the radio is NOT in binding mode (see
page 4 for binding details).
2. While holding down the MIC button, click the Power button. Each
click will set a different setting indicated by the Setting LED. Cycle
through to the desired setting.
3. Restart the radio to make the Setting effective.
Note:
A bound radio will be removed from its group when its Setting has
changed.
Binding must be performed with other radios of the same Setting to
form a new group.
