BUENA PARK, Calif.
– Yamaha Electronics Corporation, the innovator in home theater
and digital audio and video reproduction, introduces its latest line of Home-Theater-in-a-
Box (HTIB) systems that provides consumers with the ability to playback content from
Sirius and XM Satellite Radio, as well as iPods or Bluetooth (A2DP) enabled phones,
computers and PDAs with optional Yamaha direct connect accessories. In addition, all
systems feature SCENE modes to instantly access any entertainment source and surround
sound experience, and Compressed Music Enhancer that improves the sound quality of
compressed music from any audio source. The top two systems in the line have YPAO
system calibration and intuitive onscreen displays for all system functions.
To deliver the highest possible video quality to HD displays, all systems feature an
HDMI interface, with two inputs and one output, for connecting up to two HDMI sources,
such as Blu-ray players and high definition set-top boxes. The YHT-790 and YHT-690
also accept HD Audio LPCM 5.1 channel reception up to 96kHz via HDMI interface.
