The following procedure can be used to reset ALL the RY20
parameters to their initial default settings. It will clear ALL the
patterns, songs, and kits you have created.

1

Turn the RY20 power OFF.

2

Press and hold both the

[ +1 ]

and

[ –1 ]

buttons. Turn the power back on.

“

FACTRY SET

” will momentarily appear on the display and the Record and

Play LEDs will flash.

The “

YAMAHA RY20

” prompt will appear, then the instrument will default

to Pattern Play Mode.

IMPORTANT

Be sure to save any data you want to keep on a MIDI data storage device such as the
Yamaha MDF2 MIDI Data Filer before you carry out the total reset procedure.
