1. While the engine is idling, select the desired operat-
ing position by pressing the drive select switch

Make sure that the drive “D” indicator light

or the
reverse “R” indicator light

flashes, and then comes
on and remains on.
NOTE:

Once the indicator light for the selected position comes
on and remains on, the snowmobile can be driven. If the
indicator light keeps flashing, the snowmobile is not cor-
rectly shifted into drive or reverse. Apply a little throttle,
and then press the drive select switch again.

Make sure that the throttle lever is fully released
and the snowmobile is at a full stop before shift-
ing.

Be sure to press the drive select switch only
while the engine is idling.
●
Make sure that the area behind the snowmobile is
clear before reversing. Watch behind.
●
Reduce speed and avoid sharp turning when
operating the snowmobile in reverse.

CAUTION:

Do not shift from drive to reverse or from reverse to
drive while the snowmobile is moving. Otherwise,
the drive system could be damaged.

NOTE:

The reverse buzzer beeps while the transmission is in
reverse.

2. Release the parking brake by moving the parking
brake lever to the right.
3. Press the throttle lever slowly to move the snowmo-
bile.
4. Turn the handlebar in the desired direction.
