1. Yamaha hybrid products are grouped into three broad categories.
1. Disklavier:
Acoustic piano with recording and playback functions. (Some models are playback-
only.) Within Japan, Disklaviers are marketed under the name “Piano Player” or
“Ensemble Piano”.
2. Silent Piano:
Acoustic piano equipped with a shank stopper and a built-in piano tone generator. In
some regions these are also called “MIDI pianos.”
3. GranTouch:
Digital piano with acoustic piano action and wood keyboard.
Yamaha also offers the following two combination hybrids.
4. Disklavier Silent:
Disk Silent Piano
5. Disklavier GranTouch:
Disk GranTouch

describes their main features.
