Fuel injector

Removing the fuel injector
Cover the fuel components using a rag to
prevent fuel from spilling out.
1. Disconnect the quick connectors. See
steps 2 and 3 in “Disconnecting the quick
connector” (6-6).
2. Remove the fuel hoses

3. Disconnect the fuel injector couplers

4. Remove the fuel rails

5. Remove the holders

, and then remove
the fuel injectors

and O-rings

.
Checking the fuel rail
1. Check the fuel rails. Replace if cracked or
deformed.
2. Check the fuel injectors. See step 5 in
“Checking the fuel injector” (5-35).
Installing the fuel injector
Do not reuse an O-ring, always replace it
with a new one.
