Changing the Drum Set Sound (Building Your Own Drum Set)
Basic Guide

Strike the drum pad for which you wish to
change the settings.
The pad name appears on the upper right corner of the
screen.

Use the buttons below “

” ([F1]
or [F2]) to select the item.
The first page:
The Inst Selection screen appears.
The second page:
The Inst Setting screen appears.
The items shown on the second page or the Inst settings screen depend on the Inst category selected in the first page or
the Inst selection screen.

Use the [–] [+] controllers to change the
parameter value.

Tuning
Determines the tuning (pitch).
Muffling
Simulates the effect of changing the degree of muffling (or how much the
drum head is muted)

Size
Simulates the effect of changing the cymbal size.
Sustain
Determines the cymbal’s sustain time (i.e., how quickly the sound decays
to silence).
HiHat1
HiHat2
Size
Simulates the effect of changing the cymbal size.
Clutch
Simulates the effect of changing the hi-hat’s clutch position. The smaller
the setting, the quicker an open hi-hat sound will decay to silence.
Perc (Percussion)
