Using the Macro Feature
The Macro feature makes it possible to perform a series of operations by pressing just one button. For example, when you want to play a CD,
normally you would turn on the components, select the CD input, and press the play button to start playback. Using the Macro feature, you
can perform all those operations by simply pressing the CD macro button. The macro buttons (the input buttons and
SYSTEM POWER
ON/STANDBY
) are factory preset with macro programs. You can also program your own macros (see page 60).

Automatically transmits signals of each button sequentially
*1 In order to turn on some Yamaha components connected to this unit, connect those components to
AC OUTLETS
on the rear panel.
*2 If the macro you select includes power on/off functions, the equipment may turn off if it is already on when you press the macro button. For example, if
your TV is on and you press the
SYSTEM POWER
macro button, the TV turns off.
Note:
• Make sure you set up the manufacturer code (See page 57) or program a function using the Learn feature (See page 58) to the remote control for your
component, or the factory preset macros do not work.
