If the lever becomes stiff, loosen gland a little and place a few drops
of oil on it. (Fig.7)

Check hose periodically and replace it if it is aged or leaking.
5. Disassembly and Assembly
CAUTION
- Gasoline is a high-volatility fuel. Do not use it to clean the pump in any case. Otherwise,
ignition or explosion may be caused.
[Disassembly and Inspection of Suction Part]
1) Remove high pressure hose.
2) Loosen stopper and latch securing lid and separate pump assembly
together with lid.
3) Unscrew three screws on the back of lid to separate pump assembly
from lid.
4) Secure knurled section of suction tube in a vise.
5) Loosen nut on the lower part of cylinder.
6) Unscrew cylinder with a wrench to separately remove piston, valve,
packing, tightening screw, and triangle ring. (Fig.8)
7) Wash and check each part. Replace damaged or worn parts with new
ones.
8) Reverse the disassemble procedure to reassemble suction part while
being certain that each part is attached in the correct direction.
