PMG (Primary Memory Group)
PMG Function
The PMG function allows the status of multiple channels to be displayed in
real time on the Bar Graph, while listening to the Receive Channel. In manual
mode, turn the DIAL knob to select the Receive Channel, and also observe
the status of other channels on the Bar Graph.
Register the frequency to PMG
•
Press and hold the
key to register the current
frequency in PMG.
•
Up to 5 channels can be registered in PMG.
Up to 5 channels can be registered in PMG. When
registering more than five Frequencies, older frequencies
will be deleted in order from PMG.

Press and hold the
key on the PMG operation screen, then rotate
the DIAL knob, to change the registered frequency.
To return to the PMG operation screen, use one of the following methods:
Returns to the frequency before change
Press the
key or
key.
Register the changed frequency and return
Press and hold the
key.
Using PMG function: Press the
key
Rotate the DIAL knob to select the desired Channel from the
Channels registered in PMG.

If there are no registered Channels in PMG, the PMG screen will not be displayed
even if the
key is pressed.
•
To adjust the squelch during PMG operation, press the VOL/SQL knob for the Main
Band and turn it. The adjustment is reflected in all channels registered in PMG.
When receiving simultaneously on the PMG screen, the squelch on the upper screen
is adjusted with the VOL/SQL knob for the Main Band, and the squelch on the lower
screen is adjusted with the VOL/SQL knob for the Sub Band.

Press the frequency display (digital mode only) on the upper screen to display the
compass with the distance and direction to the other station. Press the compass
display to return to the PMG screen.
Unregister the Channel (Frequency) registered in PMG
1. Select the channel (frequency) to be unregistered by rotating the
DIAL
knob.
2. Press and hold the
key to cancel the registration.
Cancel all frequency (channels) registered in PMG.
1. Press and hold the FUNC knob
[22 PMG]
[PMG CLEAR].
2. Press the
FUNC
knob.
