Guide Chart
The proper type of steam trap selected is an
important consideration in steam systems.
There are many types of steam traps. Each
has unique characteristics and system bene-
fits. Hoffman Specialty offers thermostatic,
float and thermostatic, bucket
and disc traps. This line chart points out sys-
tem conditions that may be encountered and
suggests a trap that may best handle the
requirement. Several types of traps may be
used for a specific application. The line chart
should be used only as a guide.
