Do not use the device if the ambient temperature is too high or if the ambient air is
polluted with mechanical particles, dust, exhaust fumes, etc. Using the device in such
conditions may cause damage to the equipment.
Do not use hot parts of the device while the device is running. For example, the cylinder
head, safety valves, and other parts. If maintenance is required, first turn the device off,
disconnect it from the power supply, and wait for the device to cool down sufficiently to
prevent burns.
During operation, make sure the air outlet of the device or of other accessories
connected to it are not pointed directly at the operator or other persons.
DANGER AREAS
Exercise extra caution and follow all safety instructions and guidelines provided in this
manual when in the vicinity of the device and in the working area around it. This is a zone
of increased risk of injury.
It is prohibited to use the device in extreme weather conditions, in freezing temperatures,
strong magnetic fields, and under other circumstances that are not compatible with the
operating instructions provided in this manual.
It is prohibited to use the device in plants that are subject to special rules and in
environments with a risk of explosion, fire, etc.
The safety features of the device must not be removed or disabled.
Do not touch the moving parts of the equipment with your body parts or with other objects.
It is prohibited to carry out structural modifications and alterations that have not been
recommended and approved by the manufacturer. The same applies to replacing spare
parts with those of a different type.
Do not abandon the operator’s position, leaving the equipment unattended while it is in
operation.
Do not operate the device in contradiction with the health and safety requirements.
OBLIGATIONS OF THE OPERATING ORGANISATION
All the obligations connected with the operation and maintenance of the device arise from the
applicable regulations and standards.
The operating organisation must:
Carry out regular checks and certified inspections of the device within the specified
intervals.
Ensure that persons without proper qualifications do not tamper with the device and/or
perform any work on it within the meaning of the applicable standards and regulations.
Make all the persons who will use the equipment in question demonstrably familiar with
the operation and safety regulations.
Instructions and warnings for pressure vessel operators
Compressor receivers are considered reserved pressure equipment and, as such, they are
subject to regular checks. Pressure vessels can be divided into simple unheated pressure
vessels for air and nitrogen up to 10,000 bar litres under Government Regulation No. 175/97,
and receivers over 10,000 bar litres and all combined vessels: air/oil – screw-type compressors,
air/water – automatic expansion tanks for central heating, heat exchangers, etc. under
Government Regulation no. 182/99.
