RS-232 Remote Command Set RS-232 remote commands consist of three ASCII characters. All
commands begin with the forward slash “/” character. The two
characters following the slash identify the command.

It is important to remember that most MUX-1602C front panel
buttons
have multiple functions. The effect of a button press is
determined
by the current status of the unit. Determine the
status of the
MUX-1602C before issuing remote commands
because inappropriate
commands will be ignored.
