Disconnect the power plug from the power supply before making settings on the device, chang-
ing  accessories, or storing the  device. This precaution prevents the  power tool  from starting
accidentally.

Keep unused power tools out of children’s reach. Do not allow people to use the device who
are not familiar with it or who have not read these instructions. Power tools are dangerous when
used by inexperienced people.

Maintain power tools with care. Check if moving parts are working properly and are not jamming
and if parts are broken or damaged so that the function of the power tool is impaired. Have
damaged parts repaired before using the device. The cause of many accidents involving power
tools is poor maintenance.

Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Carefully maintained cutting tools with sharp cutting edges
are less likely to jam and are easier to guide.

Use the power tool, accessories, tool bits etc. in accordance with these instructions. Consider
the working conditions and the work to be performed. The use of power tools for purposes other
than those for which they were intended can lead to dangerous situations.

Tool specific safety instructions

Caution!

Operation  is  only  permitted  with  a  residual  current  circuit  breaker  (max.  Residual  current

30

mA). The device must be connected to a 230

V socket with a 16

A fuse.

Warning!

Dust generated during work is often harmful to health and should not get into the body. If

possible, use a dust extractor and wear a suitable dust mask. Thoroughly remove deposited dust.

During operation, the machine must stand or be fixed on a horizontal, level surface (e.g., on a
workbench).

Turn off the machine while it is unattended and disconnect it from the power supply.

Before each start-up, check all screw and plug connections as well as protective devices for
firm and correct seating and all moving parts for ease of movement.

It is strictly forbidden to dismantle or change the protective devices on the machine, to use them
for purposes other than those intended, or to attach third-party protective devices.

The device must not be used if it is damaged or the safety devices are defective. Replace worn
and damaged parts.

Faults in the machine including the protective device or the grinding wheel must be reported to
the person responsible for safety as soon as they are detected.

Before each use, check the device, connection cable, extension cable, and plug for damage
and wear. Have damaged parts repaired only by a specialist.

Before operating the on/off switch, make sure that the grinding wheel is correctly mounted. To
work safely, use equipment such as tool supports, lenses, workpiece holders, etc.

It is strictly forbidden to remove chips and splinters while the machine is running.

Do not use worn, damaged, or deformed grinding wheels.

Select a grinding wheel suitable for the workpiece to be machined.

Grinding wheels not corresponding to the technical data in these operating instructions must
not be used.

The maximum speed indicated on the grinding wheel must be observed.

To reduce the risk of fire, read and follow safe procedures for cleaning, maintaining, and remov-
ing chips and dust on a regular basis.

Make sure that the flanges used are suitable for the purpose and correspond to the size speci-
fied by the manufacturer.

Switch off the machine immediately if something jams. Disconnect the device from the power
supply and remove the jammed workpiece.

Regularly check the setting of the spark arrester and readjust it according to the grinding wheel
wear. Keep the distance between the spark arrester and the grinding wheel as small as possible
(no greater than 2

cm).

Regularly check the setting of the workpiece support and readjust it depending on the wear of
the grinding wheel.

Do not grind with a cold grinding wheel. Let the grinding wheel idle for 1

min before starting work.

Do not grind with the side surfaces of the grinding wheel, only grind with its face.
