Safety precautions
General safety precautions concerning electric devices
Warning:
To reduce the risk of injury, the user must read the instruction manual.
Do not work with material containing asbestos. Wear a respirator!
Wear protective goggles!
Wear hearing protection!
Warning:
•
Read all safety warnings and instructions. Failure to follow warnings and instructions could re-
sult in electric shock, fire, and/or serious injury.
•
Keep all warnings and instructions for future reference.
•
The term “power tool” in warnings refers to a corded power tool or a power tool powered by
battery (cordless).
Work area safety
•
Keep your work area clean and well lit. Cluttered and dark areas invite accidents.
•
Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable
liquids, gases, or dust. Power tools create sparks which may ignite the dust or fumes.
•
Keep children and bystanders away while operating a power tool. Distractions can cause a loss
of control.
Electric safety
•
The power tool plugs must match the outlet. Never make any changes to the plugs. Do not use
adapter plugs for grounded power tools. Unmodified plugs and matching sockets reduce the
risk of electric shock.
•
Avoid body contact with earthed surfaces such as pipes, radiators, stoves, and refrigerators.
There is an increased risk of electric shock if the body is grounded.
