Connecting to a Mobile Broadband Network
Important
:
Before you can connect to a mobile broadband network, you must have an active
account with a cellular network provided and a SIM card in your tablet for mobile broadband
access.
Inserting a SIM Card
1.
Ensure your tablet is turned off.
2.
Remove the battery.
3.
Insert a SIM card into the SIM card slot in the battery bay. Ensure that the contacts are facing
down.
Setting Up Mobile Broadband
Turn on the Tablet and the SIM card will be detected according to your cellular provider.
1.
Open the Xplore Dashboard.
2.
Tap
Wireless
.
3.
Select the
Enable Mobile Broadband with GPS
checkbox.
4.
Tap your mobile broadband provider.
Changing the power plan
By default, the XSLATE R12 uses the Xplore Optimized power plan that is designed specifically for Xplore
tablets. It balances the need to save power while maximizing tablet performance. When the tablet senses
no current activity, it goes into Power Saver mode automatically.
Use the Power pane for these tasks:
Dim the display after 2 minutes.
Turn off the display after 5 minutes.
Enter Sleep mode after 10 minutes.
