MCODE 10016: WARNING –
Empty Cup.
Poor data quality
Not enough sample in the
cup.
Remake the sample and measure.
MESSAGE [TOTAL 1]
MCODE 10015: WARNING –
Result out of calibration range (S)
Element result is not
within the calibration
range.
Used wrong cal curve for
measurement or wrong
sample.
Remake sample and validate the cal curve
being used for measurement. Re-measure
sample.
Tube is hot (60°C)! Analyzer will
not measure at 65°C.
X-ray tube is close
to 65°C. At this
temperature, the
analyzer will not
measure.
Continuous use
Stop measuring until the message
disappears, which occurs when the x-ray
tube has cooled below 60°C.
The message pop-up will NOT clear by
pressing OK while the tube temperature is
close to 65°C. The message auto-clear
when the tube cools.

Make a new sample and re-measure to see
if the error disappears; if not, try to measure
a validation sample

Please be certain the door is
closed and press OK to try again.
Sample lid must be
properly closed for
analyzer to work
correctly
Sample lid was not closed
at start-up (after power-
on).
Open and close the sample lid. Restart
Petra by pressing the Power button. If this
error recurs, contact XOS Technical
Support.
