XLITE obliges the connection system to the power line to have an IP protection degree equal to or greater than
the IP protection degree of the luminaire. XLITE srl recommends the use of Techno connectors and is not liable
in the event of incorrect installation for use in Brivido, Brivido Extremo, Oasi, Oasi Active, ATEX and Full Range
environments.
DIRECTIVE 2012/19 / EU (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment - WEEE): information to users: The label with the
crossed out bin indicates that the product must not be disposed of through the normal procedure for disposing of household
waste. To avoid any damage to the environment and human health, separate this product from other household waste
so that it can be recycled according to environmental compliance procedures. For more details on the collection centers
available, contact the local authorities. Failure to comply with this rule is sanctioned by law and could potentially cause
negative effects on both the environment and human health.
For information relating to the sizing, the distribution of the lighting fixtures, the maximum number of products that can be fed simultaneously
and their chemical resistance, contact our technical offices.
For information relating to the minimum/maximum number of lighting fixtures that can be installed under each switch, where not expressly
indicated in our installation manuals, contact our technical offices.
The device may only be opened with special tools by a qualified electrician. Handle the device with care and use
electrostatic gloves. Do not touch LED components and use ESD protection to avoid electrostatic discharge damage
to “ESD sensitive components” during installation and maintenance. Do not expose the LED modules to dust and/
or chemically aggressive substances such as chlorine, sulphur, ammonia, mineral oils, bisulphite ions, etc. The light
source contained in this luminaire must only be replaced by the manufacturer or qualified personnel. National installation
regulations must be observed. Before carrying out any work on the appliance, disconnect the power supply.
ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT SENSITIVE TO OVER VOLTAGE.
It is recommended to install “SPD” surge protection devices in the electrical system. The protective devices prevent the
intensity of these phenomena, protecting the appliances from the risk of being damaged and extending their life. Outdoor
luminaires are subject to all types of permanent, temporary or transient electrical disturbances. Such disturbances can
create permanent damage or failures that compromise performance and durability. A protection device must be provided
for each lighting fixture at a distance not exceeding 10m. For proper coordination of the protections, a surge protection
device must also be provided inside the electrical panel of the system (the choice of these protection devices is always the
responsibility of the designer).
