 7100 Evaluator Guide     5

Productivity is a critical consideration when evaluating tabloid/A3 color

printers, such as the Phaser

®

 7100.

Does the printer deliver the level of performance

required to support the workload of larger groups of users, and can it be expanded to

meet a workgroup’s evolving needs?

How the Phaser 7100 exceeds the

productivity requirement:

Printing Performance

The Phaser 7100 Color Printer features a print
speed of up to 30 ppm for both color and
black-and-white documents. And with a 667
MHz processor, and standard 1 GB of memory,
the Phaser 7100 is designed to handle a steady
flow of print jobs loaded with detailed images
and graphics.

For average print jobs of three pages or less,
the most important specification is first-page-
out time, and the Phaser 7100 printer delivers
black-and-white pages in as few as 9 seconds,
and color pages in as few as 11 seconds.

Expandability

Numerous accessories are available to tailor-
fit the Phaser 7100 Color Printer to your
environment. For those users who print a
high volume of large, complex files, controller
memory can be expanded to a maximum of 2
GB with a 1 GB upgrade.

Plus, the optional Productivity Kit with 40
GB Hard Disk Drive provides more advanced
security features, Network Accounting
capability and the ability to store fonts.

For workgroups of 10 or more users, consider
increasing paper capacity by including up to
three additional 550-sheet trays. The Phaser
7100 can handle a total paper capacity of
2,050 sheets for optimum, uninterrupted
workgroup productivity.

Duplexing

Automatic two-sided printing comes standard
on the Phaser 7100DN configuration, providing
more flexibility and helping reduce paper
consumption. Automatic two-sided printing is
optional with the Phaser 7100N configuration.
