Decide where to place the printer, considering the minimum clearance requirements shown in the
following illustration. Place the printer in an area where there is adequate space for ventilation,
operation and servicing. For user safety considerations, refer to the
User Safety Summary
section
of the
Support Guide
on the
Interactive Documentation CD-ROM

Caution
Do not block or cover the slots and openings on the printer; without adequate ventilation, the
printer may overheat.

Open the top of the box and remove the power cord, tray cover, imaging unit, and box labeled
Read Me First
.
Caution
Do not attempt to lift the printer out through the top of the box.
