Xerox Phaser 6180DN
ROUTINE MAINTENANCE (CONTINUED)
Most of the Xerox Phaser 6180’s maintenance can be performed in a
matter of minutes, including replacing the four toner cartridges and the
fuser unit, which sits above the toner.
The button marked “A” must be pushed to release the front cover so that
the toner cartridges are exposed and can be replaced. Replacing the
color-coded toner cartridges is very easy. The standard toner cartridges
yield up to 3,000 pages, while the high-capacity cartridges yield up to
8,000 pages.
Most paper misfeeds can be easily removed from the front or near the top
of the device. BERTL analysts did not encounter any problems or any
hidden misfeed points during our vigorous test regimen.
The toner cartridges, fuser unit, and transfer unit are all located at the
front of the device, providing easy access for replacement. Each
component can be replaced in a matter of minutes.
