This section describes recovery techniques for unexpected conditions.
ISE Not Visible to Host
Fibre Channel connectivity problems may manifest themselves as the inability of a host to see an ISE. Ensure
that all network components (switches, HBAs, o/s versions, drivers, and so forth) are:

Connected—cables, switches, and other Fibre Channel connections have continuity throughout the
Storage Area Network.

Supported—check switch zoning to verify expected and supported configuration; best practices for ISE

Configured—review volume-host mapping to verify that the expected volumes are being presented to the
host.
Use utilities and applications provided with the operating system, Fibre Channel switches, and host bus
adapters to gain broader insight into the connections and configurations of the site Storage Area Network.

Check for an amber LED on all of the components and follow the corrective action recommended in Table 48.
