Carbon Brushes
Carbon brushes are wearable parts and must be replaced at the very latest after 400 operating hours.
A noncompliance of the suggested maintenance intervals can lead to irreversible damages to the blowers.
Release the worn brushes’ fastening bolts and cable connections and take out the worn brushes. Properly
install the new carbon brushes.
6.1.10
Internal Hosing
The internal hosing in the
machine’s bottom
[10]
will reach high pressures during operation and be put under
an overpressure of up to 330 mbar. Under these circumstances, faulty hoses can tear and improperly fixed
hose clamps can be freely loosened from the hose or negatively influence the check valve’s functionality and
damage the machine.
Check the internal hosing for abrasion and kinks and replace any faulty hoses. Fit the hose clamp tightly.
After replacing the hoses, they must then be checked after 10 operating hours for tightness and correct
fitting.
6.1.11
Airlock Feed Gate
Between the airlock feed gate and the
machine’s bottom [10]
attachment base, deposits of insulation material
or aggregates can build up which can lead to the airlock feed gate becoming stiff. For this reason, the
collected insulation material between the airlock feed gate and attachment base must be regularly removed.
6.1.12
Operating Hours Meter
The o
perating hours meter P1 [22]
on the
electrical switchboard [6]
displays the current status of all the
machine’s operating hours. Replacing the blowers means the required maintenance intervals no longer
coincide with the displayed operating hours. For this reason, the operating hours should be noted after the
blowers have been replaced and be used from then on as a guideline for maintenance work.
6.1.13
Gear Boxes
Servicing the worm gear box, airlock- and conditioning unit’s drive, is not required. Oil loss means the gear
box must be serviced or replaced by the manufacturer.
The angular gear box (bevel drive) must be serviced regularly. Clean the gear box with a clean and dry towel
or with the help of an industrial cleaner. Check the bevel drive for abrasion and slackness. Lubricate the bevel
drive with a machine oil containing graphite.
6.1.14
Cleaning
Contamination from dust and dirt in the
machine’s bottom [10]
can negatively affect the cooling of the
motors
[5]
and the components. For this reason, the
machine’s bottom
must be regularly checked for dust and dirt
deposits and cleaned. Never clean the machine with wet cloth. Contaminated cable connections, net
adaptors and control cables must be regularly checked to see if they work and be cleaned if necessary.
Damaged cable connections and cable breaks must be replaced immediately.
