Drain pump
The drain pump is maintenance-free. Opening the
cover of the drain pump is required only in the event
of a malfunction when no more water is being
pumped out, e.g. if the pump wheel is blocked.
Before loading the machine, please always ensure
that there are no foreign objects present in the pock-
ets or in-between the items to be washed. Paper
clips, nails etc. which may find their way into the
washing machine along with the washing will remain
in the drain pump housing (foreign body trap that
protects the pump wheel).

Warning:
Switch off the washing machine and
remove the mains plug before cleaning the
drain pump.

First carry out an emergency drain.
2.
Place a cloth on the floor in front of the drain pump
cover. Residual water will run out.
3.
Unscrew the pump cover in an anti-clockwise di-
rection and remove it.
4.
Remove any foreign objects and fabric lint from the
pump housing.
5.
Insert the pump cover. Insert the guides on the
cover sideways into the guide slots and screw on
the cover in a clockwise direction.
6.
Close off the emergency drain hose and place it in
the support.
7.
Close the plinth flap.
