When commanding the SCIB to secondary AC current mode, the
MODE LED will glow green.
When commanding to secondary DC current mode, the MODE
LED will glow red.
If the SCIB is commanded to secondary AC current mode with
primary current re-routed to the V
CNT
input of the weld timer,
the MODE LED will blink green at a rate of about once per
second.
If the SCIB is commanded to secondary DC current mode with
primary current re-routed to the V
CNT
input of the weld timer,
the MODE LED will blink red about once per second.
If the SCIB is commanded to do a calibration, the MODE LED
will glow yellow for the duration of the calibration (about 1/5
sec) and then turn OFF. At the same time, the POWER/ERROR
LED will turn OFF for the duration of the calibration and then
glow green.
If the SCIB detects any error during operation, the POWER/
ERROR LED will glow red and remain red until the SCIB is
powered-down or a RESET command is issued by the weld timer.

Three setup parameters support operation of the SCIB:
SEC. CURR COIL FACTOR (X1000): nnnn (0-9999)
Use this setup parameter when monitoring secondary
current as an adjustment to accommodate for secondary
current sensing coils of different sensitivities. Setting this
parameter to 1000 will result in accurate secondary current
readings for coils of 0.477
µ
Hy mutual inductance (150 mV/
kA @ 50 Hz, or 180 mV/kA @ 60 Hz). Setting this parameter
above 1000 will increase the reading. Setting below 1000 will
decrease the reading.
SECONDARY CURRENT COIL/BOARD: (FAULT)
This fault will occur under the following conditions:
•
If an error occurred while attempting to initialize or
configure the SCIB due to a malfunction on the SCIB
board or an improper connection to the weld timer.
•
If an error occurred during the secondary current
calibration process due to an improper connection to the
secondary current coil.
