b) after striking a foreign object, inspect the hedge trimmer for damage and make repairs as necessary.
c) if the hedge trimmer starts to vibrate abnormally check immediately.
- Keep all nuts, bolts and screws tight to ensure that the hedge trimmer is always in a safe working
condition.
- The hedge trimmer should be stored in a dry, high or locked up place out of the reach of children.
- Replace worn or damaged parts for safety.
- Do not attempt to repair the machine unless you are qualified to do so.
- Ensure replacement parts fitted are Worcraft approved.
-
Warning!
Switch off, remove plug from mains before adjusting, cleaning or if cable is cut, damaged or
entangled.
- The blades continue to move for a few seconds after the hedge trimmer is switched off.
Caution!
Do not
touch the moving blades.
ASSEMBLY AND OPERATION:
.....................................................................................................................................
BEFORE STARTING THE MACHINE:
Connection:
This hedge trimmer may only be connected to single-phase AC current. Ensure that the mains voltage is the
same as the operating voltage indicated on the rating plate. Connect the power plug to the coupling of an
appropriate extension cord. Form a loop, push it through the opening in the rear handle and hook over the
cable holder (6).
Mounting the safety protection guard:
Push the supplied safety protection guard (2) over the blades and fix securely with each screw (8) on both
sides of the housing as showed in drawings.
STARTING THE MACHINE:
Warning!
Only use this machine for applications described in the chapter
„intended use”
Switching on / off
Switching on:
Press the on/off switch (5) of the rear handle and the switch (4) of the front handle with both
hand at the same time.
Switching off:
release one of the switches (5) or (4).
-The blade brake makes the blades stop immediately within 0.5s. The small flash in the area of the upper
ventilation slots is normal and does not harm to you or the machine.
CUTTING HEDGES:
Before you start your work, select branches with a diameter bigger than 20mm and cut them with a
pruning shear.
A trapezoidal cut corresponds to the natural, growth of plants and results in optimal hedge growing.
- First cut the sides from the bottom to the top. Cut the upper part giving it the shape you prefer, in a
straight horizontal form, roof-like or rounded.
- The safety blade has laterally rounded and staggered cutting teeth to reduce danger of injury. The
additional shock protection avoids inconvenient kickback when the blades come into contact with walls,
fences etc.
-If the blades are jammed or blocked by obstacles, switch the motor off immediately, pull the plug, and
then remove the object jamming the blades.
-
Caution!
Metal obstacles like fences etc. may damage the cutting blades.
- Always make sure to keep the extension cord behind your back and to start cutting the hedge at the point
nearest to the supply socked.
- Therefore plan your working direction before staring.
