 LIGHTING INSTRUCTION

FOR YOUR SAFETY READ BEFORE OPERATING

If you do not follow these instruction exactly, 

a  re or explosion may result causing property 

damage, personal injury or loss of life.

WARNING

IMPROPER INSTALLATION, ADJUSTMENT, ALTERATION, SERVICE OR MAINTENANCE CAN 

CAUSE INJURY OR PROPERTY DAMAGE.  REFER TO THE OWNER’S MANUAL PROVIDED WITH 

THIS APPLIANCE.  FOR ASSISSTANCE OR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION CONSULT A QUALIFIED

INSTALLER, SERVICE AGENCY, OR THE GAS SUPPLIER.  WHEN LIGHTING THE BURNER, DO NOT

FULLY OPEN VALVE. PRESSURE WILL EXTINGUISH MATCH.

VICINITY OF THIS  OR ANY OTHER APLLIANCE.

           LIGHTING INSTRUCTIONS

1. Locate the manual Gas Control Valve (see also Parts List).
2. Place the firestarter near the burner ports on top of the burner. Light the firestarter.
3. For a Natural Gas Fire Pit, turn on the ON/OFF valve slowly at the unit.

For a LP Fire Pit, turn the valve in the LP tank counter clockwise all the way and
then turn on the ON/OFF valve slowly at the unit.

4. If the burner does not light before the match goes out, immediately turn the gas OFF!
5. Wait at least five (5) minutes to clear any gas, then smell for gas including near the base of the unit.

If you smell gas, STOP!  Refer to the safety information in the Owner’s Manual.
If You DON’T SMELL GAS, repeat step 2.

           TO TURN OFF GAS

For Natural Gas Fire Pit turn the ON/OFF valve to OFF position at the unit. For LP unit turn the 
ON/OFF valve to OFF position at the unit and then turn the valve on the LP tank clockwise to 
the OFF position.
