1. Safety notes
Please study the information
in these operating instruc-
tions carefully before using
the tool. This information
contains important notes for your
safety as well as for use of the tool
and tool maintenance.
This twin-cutter tool is designed for
the finish drilling of holes in metallic
materials. Specific information on the
machining of individual metallic materials
is not the subject of these operating
instructions. Other uses are not permit-
ted and may possibly be dangerous. The
manufacturer cannot be held responsible
for damage or injury resulting from
abnormal use.
A damaged tool can endanger your safe-
ty and must be taken out of service
immediately. If necessary, consult the
manufacturer.
This tool complies with the appropriate
safety regulations. Repairs must be
carried out only by skilled personnel.
Improper repairs may expose the user to
considerable danger. Warranty provisions
can be implemented only in the event
that original Wohlhaupter spare and
accessory parts are used.
Keep the operating instructions in a safe
place for future use.
2. Application and operation
The twin cutter tools with prism bodies
are intended for rough machining of
bores in the boring range Ø 29 mm to
Ø 205 mm.
The series consists of six individual tools
(prism bodies)

, which can be equip-
ped with a pair of insert holders (twin
cutters)

and various replaceable
inserts and are interconnected by stic-
tion by a prism

3. Tool data
• Equipped on the machine side with a
WOHLHAUPTER
connection

• The structural dimensions are identical
to the dimensions of most tools in the
WOHLHAUPTER
range.
• Provided on the tool side with a prism
for interlocking and stiction connection
of the twin-cutter tool for various repla-
ceable inserts.
• The twin-cutter tool is secured against
axial displacement by a serrated body.
• Automatic centre fixing by a stop brak-
ket which contacts a pin located in the
prism body guaranteeing adequate
changeover accuracy and setting
accuracy for rough machining.
