Maintenance
•
Every bike should be checked by an expert at least once a year. This to
find eventual hidden defects such as micro-damage to the frame or
handlebars, broken brake cables, broken tyre rims, worn brake pads, etc.
•
Use only suitable and original spare parts - pay attention to the
replacement of brake pads to fit the tyre rim and that the brake force
meets local traffic regulations.
•
In case the control display shows an opaque error message, contact the
store where the eBike was purchased.
•
Keep the bike and display clean and avoid water ingress (rain is not a
problem). Do not immerse the battery into water. Do not clean the bike
with a water pump or a pressure washer. Only use a damp cloth.
•
Always keep the battery charged regardless of whether the bike is in use
or not.
•
Use only the original battery charger.
•
If the eBike is to be stored, be sure to recharge the battery regularly - at
least once a month - to prevent the battery from losing capacity.
•
Store the battery in a dry place at room temperature.
•
The battery reaches its maximum charging capacity after being charged
10 times.
•
Do not expose the battery to high temperatures such as direct sunlight,
open flames, etc.
•
If the battery leaks after an accident, it must be replaced immediately.
Contact the store where the eBike was bought.
•
Batteries may not be disposed as general waste but must be disposed at
a waste disposal site according to applicable laws and regulations.
•
Do not strain the bike. This includes using bicycle trailers and off-road
riding.
•
Remember to assist the electrical energy using your own muscle power
at steep inclines to prevent the system from overheating. In case of
overheating, a fuse is activated to avoid personal and/or product
damages.
•
To save battery power during acceleration, you can assist by using your
own muscle power.
