8.2 Solar characteristic (mode 2)
When the PWM signal is switched off, the pump is in stand-by mode. This ensures that the
system does not overheat, even if the controller is defective or the connection cable is broken.
As the PWM signal rises, so does the speed of the pump.
The following characteristic shows how the pump reacts to the various PWM signal levels. To
prevent the system from cycling, the characteristic has a hysteresis in zone B.
A = Stand-by mode OFF
B = Hysteresis ON – OFF
C = Minimum speed
D = Variable speed MIN – MAX
E = Maximum speed
