1. General
Usually, the crankshaft gear wheel (gear wheel) is designed as one part. If it becomes
necessary to replace the gear wheel, you must do the procedures that follow:
When when you order a 2-part spare wheel, you must give the engine type, engine
number, and the engine supplier. This data is necessary because the the hole of the
2-part gear wheel is made in accordance with these dimensions.
1) Remove the intermediate wheel, refer to
4104 − 2 .
2) Divide the gear wheel (5, Fig. 1) into two halves.
3) Disassemble the gear wheel (5).
Note: . To prevent damage, you must get the applicable instructions from the
engine supplier, or Wärtsilä Services Switzerland Ltd.
