4.2.1
The iCER description
The iCER system redirects part of the exhaust gas after the turbocharger. The ex
-
haust gas temperature is then lowered by the Exhaust Gas Cooler (EGC), before
passing through the turbocharger again at the compressor inlet. Finally, the ex
-
haust gas passes through the scavenge air receiver (via the inlet). This exhaust
gas reduces the amount of oxygen flowing into the engine, acting as an inert gas
on the combustion.
