also create their nests in solid ground,
usually in quiet garden areas

Setting up the device:
Screw the device into the ground using
the ground screw at right angles to the
surface as far as the stopring
(Fig.17).
Please also ensure that the device in
installed at right angles on slopes.
(Fig. 18).
To make the device easier to screw in,
soften dry ground with water
(Fig. 19).
The conical earth screw compacts the
soil around the device, which produces
an extremely good sound-conducting
connection with the soil.
With Mole-Stop solar:
Push solar panel
into soil and align parallel to the move-
ment of the sun (southerly direction).
Start-up
Intensity regulation:
Initially set intensity regulator to centre
position
(Fig. 21).
Operate On/Off switch
and increase intensity setting until the
device is emitting maximum resonance
vibration and no interference from the
battery contacts occurs.
Depending on the type of soil (sound-
conducting connection to ground) the
device falls out of the resonance fre-
quency if the intensity setting is too high.
This is indicated by the high-frequency
acoustic signal. Or unwanted sound
emission in the air will occur due to
noise interference. In both cases, a little
noise is emitted into the ground in spite
of having the maximum intensity set-
ting, whereby the output of the device is
reduced considerably. The control range
and the maximum intensity depend on
the voltage of the energy source.
Program selection:
short vibration time, for light
infestation or as a preventive
measure. Battery service life approx. 8 -
10 weeks.
long vibration time, for more
intensive sounding battery
service life approx. 3 - 4 weeks
