This command moves the journal flash buffer pointers to the beginning of the previous journal entry. If
the pointers are already at the oldest journal entry, this command does nothing. Suitable for journal
entries stored in Auto Journal Mode.
1F 0A D7 n
Move back n lines (towards less recent)
This command moves the journal flash buffer pointers back n lines in the buffer. If there are less than
n lines back to the first line, this command moves the pointers to the beginning of first line. If the
pointers are already at the first line, this command does nothing. Suitable for journal entries stored in
Direct Journal Mode.
1F 0A D8 n
Move forward n lines (towards more recent)
This command moves the journal flash buffer pointers forward n lines in the buffer. If there are less
than n+1 lines forward to the last line, this command moves the pointers to the end of the buffer. If the
pointers are already at the end of the buffer, this command does nothing. Suitable for journal entries
stored in Direct Journal Mode.
1F 0A D9 n
Print n Lines
This command executes commands and prints data from the current journal flash buffer pointers up to
the next
n
print commands in the buffer. If there are less than
n
lines remaining in the buffer, it prints
all the remaining lines. After printing, it feeds paper for operator visibility of the last line printed, or
feeds and cuts if Journal Cut is enabled. It does not change the journal flash buffer pointers. If the
pointers are already at the end of the journal flash buffer, this command does nothing. Suitable for
journal entries stored in Direct Journal Mode. (See notes on printing, below.)
1F 0A DA
Print Journal Entry (knife cut to knife cut)
This command executes commands and prints data from the current journal flash buffer pointers up to
0x0A 0x0A in the buffer. After printing, it feeds paper for operator visibility of the last line printed, or
feeds and cuts if Journal Cut is enabled. It does not change the pointers. If the pointers are already at
the end of the journal flash buffer, this command does nothing. Suitable for journal entries stored in
Auto Journal Mode. (See notes on printing, below.)
1F 0A DB
Enable Journal Cut
This command enables the cut after each journal print via 0x1F 0x0A 0xD9
n
and 0x1F 0x0A 0xDA.
The journal cut should be most useful when printing complete receipts stored in Auto Journal Mode.
1F 0A DC
Disable Journal Cut
This command disables the cut after each journal print via 0x1F 0x0A 0xD9
n
and 0x1F 0x0A 0xDA.
The cut is disabled at entry to Print Journal Entry Mode.
Notes on printing (1F 0A D9
n
and 1F 0A DA)
If lines or entries from the journal flash buffer are printed out of order, format commands may become
in effect also out of order, depending on how the original application sent the commands. The result
would be a change from the original character attributes when printing the lines or entries back from
the journal flash buffer. This should be less noticeable in Auto Journal Mode, because format
commands should be sent as needed with each complete receipt.
Printing is done on the receipt paper.
The printer goes busy at the communication interface while printing from the journal flash buffer. The
application should send no more commands or data while the printer is busy.
