The big wheel is designed for use together with a yagi system, in order to pick up quickly a signal from
any direction without the need to rotate the yagi array to find a signal from somewhere.
It’s a horizontal
polarized omnidirectional antenna
, when stacking 2 antennas together, you get a
antenna with about 5dBD gain.
Stacking
The ideal stacking distance is about 12 ft. Please take care, the antennas must be mounted exactly in
the same way and same side of the mast.
Assembly
The antenna ist delivered with a pre-assembled antenna head.
Locate all antenna parts, the 20mm square tubes are all the same.
For assembly it is best to mount the antenna head on a 5 ft high pole. Assemble the the mast clamp like
shown in the picture below. U-bolt / mastclamp / fixing clamp / big washer / lockwasher / wing nut. Fix
this to the mast plate with screws M6x16 and lock washers.
